The residents of Enfield have access to excellent health care.  Enfield is surrounded by healthcare facilities with exceptional medical staff and facilities that are known nationally for innovation and medical research.  For example, Nash UNC Health Care Hospital was the first all-private-room hospital in the state of North Carolina.  Vidant Medical Center is about a 45-minute drive from Enfield and is the third largest Level I Trauma Center in the nation and serves as the flagship teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The UNC Rex Cancer Care Center is a 1-hour drive from Enfield and is North Carolina's first nationally recognized Comprehensive Community Cancer Center. Wake Med Health and Hospital serves multiple counties through the state and specializes in a variety of services, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, high-risk pregnancy and children's care. The medical staff at these facilities are committed to quality and compassionate care. There are numerous medical providers that focus on federally qualified community health, women's health, internal health, dentistry, and physical therapy.

The Medical Clinic of Enfield, Inc. is a part of the Rural Health Group and is a federally qualified community health center dedicated to providing primary medical care, dental care, and other health-related services to the region's underserved. It is currently being renovated to include a pharmacy.
